Ceramic INK WELL #5

This is a hand-made ceramic ink well. It holds a very small amount of ink, I made it because I needed a smaller ink pot than a shot glass which I had been using.

It is made using white clay, with texture etched in with a sort of sgraffito technique, black slip painted on and wiped off so it just stays in the texture marks. It was then fired with a transparent glaze.

The ink pot is 47mm high.
