Middelkerke is a seaside town on the Belgian Coast. This drawing is from the balcony of the flat where I was staying with friends.

Sketch at the Bay Cafe, Blue Anchor Bay, Somerset. I did this in 3 sessions, with a morning coffee, a lovely way to start the day.

The Kingfisher Kiosk at Dunster Beach, Somerset. The tree trunks were really good to draw (the straight ones are pergola posts)

In situ sketch of Black Note Lighthouse at Black Nore Point, Portishead which was built in 1894. I did a little post production work, mainly on the small map and lower beach area, but it's mainly how I drew it in situ.

The Meadow at Glastonbury Chalice Garden. I started the sketch in situ, mapping out all the parts of the drawing but ran out of time so I took a photo and finished it later indoors.

I made this sketch in about an hour, on a chilly but sunny morning of the cottage 'Ystabl' near the village of Llannon in South Wales. I liked the brooding conifers behind the quaint cottage, it was a lovely place.
