There is nothing quite like having some time to sit, look and lose yourself in a view.
The Meadow at Glastonbury Chalice Garden. I started the sketch in situ, mapping out all the parts of the drawing but ran out of time so I took a photo and finished it later indoors.
A half hour sketch by The Thames at Port Meadow, Oxford at the mid point of a cycle ride of a very dank Sunday in February. View towards Jericho and the town centre.

Stonehenge stone circle
I made this sketch in about an hour, on a chilly but sunny morning of the cottage 'Ystabl' near the village of Llannon in South Wales. I liked the brooding conifers behind the quaint cottage, it was a lovely place.
The Natural History Museum, Oxford. This was started in situ with pencil and I finished it at home using a photo for detail reference.
